Black Moon

History

It is unknown who created Black Moon and when it was made, as it was recently rediscovered during an expedition to an overrun archeological dig site north of Blackstone in the Plains of Havoc. It was found by Mavrun Cromwell and given to Venroa Whitespear in A4 626 who had originally funded the expedition. Little was revealed about the morningstar, but it is believed it was of Lysarian origin and potentially thousands of years old. Venroa later gave the weapon to Terrowin III Whitehall as a gift after he lost his wife Arlhane in A4 628. The weapon was wielded by Terrowin until his defeat and death during The Battle of Razor Hills. The location of the weapon is currently unknown.

Significance

Black Moon replaced Terrowin's sword Greenblade as his favorite weapon, and became a symbol of Terrowin's might and power both as a warrior and ruler. The weapon's history and origin also became the topic of many scholars in his kingdom. When not wielded in battle or worn by Terrowin as a symbol, his archmage Ubahn Antique spent much time with it to figure out its enchantment and origin.

Design

Black Moon is a two handed morningstar with a black metal head, spikes and pommel. The spikes are incredibly sharp and thin, thinner than any typical morningstar, a feature unique to the weapon as it is strong enough to have spikes only a few centimeter thick at the widest without breaking.

Powers

The morningstar is imbued with an unique set of powers are centered around gravity. The weapon itself seems to have a strong pull which makes it easier to hit enemies as they are drawn towards it. This field can be increased to an incredibly powerful field equal to that of the 8th circle spell known as Dark Star, without endangering the wielder.
