Dhampire
Basic Information
Anatomy
Dhampires look almost indistinguishable from normal humans and only those who know what they are looking for can reliably identify a dhampire from a normal human.
Genetics and Reproduction
Dhampires can reproduce like normal humans, but their vampire blood might skip one or more generations. It is normal for dhampires to not show any sign of their vampire blood before their late teens, but some develop them much earlier. Some dhampires might never awaken their vampire blood and some might awaken it in a situation of adrenaline or high stress, like in a case of life or death.
Growth Rate & Stages
Just like normal humans dhampires grow into adulthood in their late teens, and are often fully matured around 20.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Dhampires are mostly carnivores gaining little sustenance from fruits and vegetables. All dhampires also earn much sustenance from the blood of living creatures be it a beast or monstrosity, but the blood of a humanoid is the most nutritious. Elvish blood is said to be the sweetest and most desirable blood for a dhampire. Not all dhampires drink blood, as some reject their vampire desires, but those who do often have their vitality increased together with their hunger.
