Emma was born to a merchant family in Riverport. She was a lone child born to two well off spice traders who owned a small spice trade industry for Evlora. Her parents didn't want more than one child and went on to teach Emma the art of the trade so that she could, when the time came, inherit the family business all to herself. Emma spent much of her youth reading and learning about trade and spent most of her free time working their business. Because of this joy and childish moments came in short moments scattered through her life. Her parents did a good job teaching her as by the time she turned 13 she got her own share in the business and would become a more active part of the business. Even though most of her work would be paperwork as her parents ensured trade routes and deals.
When Emma turned 15 she was wandering the riverside when she met a girl of the same age as herself wandering the riverside looting a small wreck that had crashed because of flooding. Emma was interested in her as she didn't recognize her and went on to approach her. The girl was scared when she first saw Emma and went on to flee into the forest, but Emma ran after her screaming she wouldn't do anything to her and that she only wanted to talk. Emma followed the strange girl until she found her inside a small hut in the woods. It was an abandoned hunter's cabin that she had made into a home. Emma, still intent on approaching her, followed her inside where she didn't find the girl but rather a strange looking person. She saw a gender neutral milk white creature with white hair, skin and eyes. It had the same clothes on as the girl so Emma was scared at first, but then understood what it was, a changeling. The empire told scary stories about such creatures, but Emma wasn't scared of her, rather intrigued. It took some time before the creature spoke back to her, but when it did, it called itself Vic .
Over the next two years Emma would grow a close friendship and eventually a romantic relationship with Vic. Their time together was the best part of her otherwise busy and boring life. She would often sneak out at night to spend time with Vic and spend their time together talking, playing and stargazing. Emma liked Vic as they were in their original form and never asked them to change into another person, the only time Vic did that around Emma was when they walked into the city together or they were caught in the woods by other people. Their relationship was special but grew stronger and stronger every month. Everything seemed to go great for them until a late evening in A4 645 when they were out on a hill close to Riverport stargazing. While distracted by the open sky and their fooling around a dark clad man with an iron mask with a simple smile on it snuck up on them and viciously stabbed Emma in the chest until she died. Vic was paralyzed by fear during the terrifying display of evilness and was unable to help. Emma would die from her injuries while watching the love of her life Vic run away from the Riverport Reaper.
Emma would be buried in a beautiful grave outside Vic's cabin and not in Riverport as Vic would go on to live with Emma's identity and never tell her parents of her death. Vic would go on to leave Riverport, leaving only a letter for Emma's parents about her need to follow her dreams. Vic would go on to try to fulfill her goals in a sad attempt to have Emma's dreams and hopes live on.
