Evas Anora
Demographics
It is believed that Evas Anora had a population of around 1100 drow with an additional 100 people of varied races mostly deep gnomes and duergars. Such a high number of non-drow races were rare among drow cities, but Evas Anora was one of the most varied drow cities in the Vlorissehmth Empire. Even though the city only housed around 1200 people it was home to many slaves. In fact the average number of slaves within the city was around 5000 at any given point. This was because the city was used as both a storage place for slaves who were just bought or captured and was the main city for breaking the slaves so that they were ready to be sent deeper into the empire.
Government
The city was governed by a reagent who was the leader of a noble house personally placed by the matron empress to maintain and lead the city. Below the reagent was the matron mother who was the leader of the city's faith which was entirely dedicated to Lolth.
Defences
Evas Anora was heavily protected as it was both an important trade point and strategic military location. The city was surrounded by 80 feet tall 11 feet thick walls made from deep slate and dark iron. These walls were also guarded by many soldiers and ballistas, and like many other drow settlements within the Vlorissehmth empire, these walls made use of the spider elevators which could only be manned by special units known as spider whisperers. Additionally the city had one giant guard tower within the walls that reached 120 feet and one outside the city. The reagent's citadel was also very guarded and almost impenetrable because of the wards placed by drow arcanists.
Industry & Trade
The biggest trade of Evas Anora was its massive slave trade network. Hundreds of slaves were moved in and out of the city each week and many thousands passed through every year. These slaves were either taken in raids which were orchestrated from Evas Anora or bought through outside sources or Druunheim. Some other trades were prominent as well, lumbering and farming were the two biggest industries in the city after slavery.
