Facerax

Purpose / Function

Facerax was constructed and created during the reign of Vergunaamuranth by Vergunaamuranth herself. It was made to be an arcane laboratory, vault and testing ground for arcane inventions. As the facility grew and gained new additions, the laboratory became one of the most precious assets to the kingdom of Vacerak. Facerax also became a very active spot for plane travel and interplanar communication once the planetory was constructed in 30 BFA.

Architecture

Facerax is very simpel in design, it was built with efficiency and cleanliness in mind. The facility is mined and carved out from the bottom of the mountain Thunder Point, something which made expansion tedious and slow. The inside of Facerax was mostly smooth stone and carved tiles on the ground which was a natural part of the mountain.

Defenses

Facerax was built within a mountain, with the entrance to the facility being well hidden within a valley. The natural stone formations outside the entrance made for good defenses and the difficult terrain made it impossible to walk more than a few people in width. The entrance to Facerax was an unique and massive 15 feet diameter circular vault door. The door had not handles or visible ways to enter as it was just a flat solid silver colored wall with a dark iron frame bolted into the mountain wall. The vault door could be walked through if the person was either a true believer in Tiamat or was wearing or holding a piece of dragon scale belonging to a true dragon. Once the requirements to open Facerax was met, the door became wobbly like a thick fluid and could be walked through. This door was the only known entrance to Facerax and the magical door was almost immune to all kinds of magic and could reflect most spells cast at it.
