Vergunaamuranth

The Blighted Queen Vergunaamuranth

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Vergunaamuranth was a massive green dragon with thick green scales which had black scales mixed in after she gained her second head. Her body was strong, yet agile and slender, unlike other dragons of her age who become extremely heavy and bulky. She had two heads with long necks, one was her green head which had two rows of fins down her head and neck, while the other was from a black dragon with forward facing horns and teeth which were constantly revealed.

Humanoid Avatar

Vergunaamuranth's humanoid avatar was one she often prefered, especially as most of her time was spent in Facerax where her dragon form would not fit. Her humanoid form was that of a beautiful human woman who was tall and curvaceous. She had long black hair which had dark green stripes in it, two green eyes, one of which was draconic with black scales around it. She often wore beautiful dresses, made from black silk and other expensive and exotic materials which she enjoyed hoarding.

Special abilities

Vergunaamuranth was an incredibly powerful sorcerer who before the Avatar Battles had achieved the powers of the 10th circle of magic, before losing that ability once the weave changed at the end of the battle. Her ability to alter her spells or casting them without a trace made her an incredibly powerful and feared sorcerer even without her dragon abilities. As an ancient, almost great wyrm dragon, Vergunaamuranth's breath attacks were both incredibly lethal. She was able to breathe both acid and poison because of her two heads, and her ability to use these breaths was greater than most dragons, having almost no downtime between breaths.

Personal history

Vergunaamuranth was the longest reigning monarch of the ancient dragon kingdom of Vacerak. She managed to rule the kingdom for more than 300 years before her successor Thorelmarakthis killed her. Her reign was the successor to the founder of Vacerak Kaedrickscare the Scorching Sovereign, who she was a loyal vassal to until his death of old age. Her rule was unarguably the greatest period for the dragon kingdom, improving every aspect of it; by the end of her first century, her nation was feared across the continent because of its power and riches. She would also progress the magical development in the kingdom by creating a magical research facility known as Facerax which would lead to great achievements, such as the kingdom's most iconic force of power, the Replicants which were a race of half dragons made through a magical ritual, which would end up being the most powerful asset in the nation's army except for its dragons. She would also use the facility to attach a new head to herself, in an attempt to increase her intelligence and to gain a form more fitting of a servant of Tiamat, something she took great pride in. Vergunaamuranth also battled a curse given to her by the dragon god Lekil who she killed during the Avatar Battles, the curse left her body weakened and infertile. It was a curse which would kill her and Facerax was used as a means to cheat this faith. She would end up making a child called Varguna which would contain a part of her soul, so that once she died, her soul would combine once again in a new body, free of the curse. Unfortunately for Vergunaamuranth, she would face her end at the claws of Thorelmarakthis after her facility and her child had already been killed.   Later in A4 650, her body would be found by Condrenth The Plague King who had uncovered her former seat of power, Vacerak. Her body had been frozen in Thorelmarakthis' ice, which never melted, and through the aid of the corrupted mythal Myth Atros, She was resurrected and cured of her curse, as the god's magic had been gone for thousands of years at that point, she was, however cursed in another matter. Condrenth had control over her soul and body through the use of the mythal who he had bound her soul to. She was forced to serve the undead dragon and scheme with him. She did end up attempting to scheme against him with a group of adventurers, who she had saved the lives off at the cost of them resurrecting her child Verguna, but the negotiations and alliance they had temporarily formed was broken by the adventurers and she took out her anger upon them through working with Condrenth towards his goals, which also entailed their deaths. She was unsuccessful in the end as both her and Condrenth would be killed by the adventurers and her soul would not go into the child who she had worked so hard on securing, but rather be consumed by Myth Atros, adding to its consciousness.
