Prosthetic Mechanic
Career
Qualifications
Only a few tinkerers can make quality prosthetics and the process of learning how to do so is long and filled with many bumps and mistakes. There is not a school for prosthetic mechanics, but there are those who want to teach new people and act as private teachers or take on apprentices.
Payment & Reimbursement
A person who can only make the most basic prosthetics will not earn much money as the cost of creating one is high and basic prosthetics do not sell for much more than the parts needed to make it. A professional or master mechanic, however, can make a lot of money as they are highly sought after and can create prosthetics so advanced everyone with the need and money will buy.

Demographics
There are estimated to be around 100 people in the world who can make basic prosthetics, and about 10 who can make advanced or better.
History
Mechanical prosthetics have been a part of Aloth since A4 519. They were first invented by the Daharian tinkerer and inventor Arazi Eudwin. He had tinkered with the idea of mechanical prosthetics that could replace lost limbs for most of his life, it was first when he learned the art of magical tinkering he finally managed to create the prosthetics that are in use now. Prosthetics have become much more advanced since Arazi made the first ones, but the idea has not changed much.
Operations

Prosthetic mechanics are dependant on their tinkerer tools which are used to create the main prosthetics. Others also use blacksmith tools to create their own gears, plates, and weapons to be imbued into the prosthetics.
Materials
The materials most often used in prosthetics are bronze, steel, and brass.
Workplace
The workplace for a prosthetic mechanic is often a big workshop with much storage for parts, materials, and prosthetics.
