Richard Blackridge is the son of Travis Blackridge the first Lord Blackridge and the co-founder of the Blackwater Corporation. His father was a very proud and stern man, something Richard inherited from him. He was the firstborn child of Travis and therefor raised to lead the corporation and the family business. He was given a great education and spent much time with his father and his business partners to learn how to make deals and lead the business. Richard was incredible with money and ledgers, and his father took notice of this. When he turned 14 he was given the role of economic overseer for the trade ships and would go on to take on larger and larger roles within the business. He would have to make many sacrifices for the family business, when he turned 18 his father had arranged a marriage between him and Margret Waters, the daughter of his business partner Jonathan Waters. Luckily the two of them fell in love after a few years and would become happy together. They would have three children together.
Richard became the new leader of the family business in A4 640 when his father died of old age.
