Volkert Mauritz was an adventurer in his youth. He was not a big name nor did he fight great monsters but he made enough for a living taking up small tasks and easy bounties. He eventually fell in love with Tokessa and decided to settle down with her as he wanted to grow old and have a family. So he did exactly that, he bought a farm with the money he had earned and decided to import a rare type of livestock. He bought a batch of Dire Dodos who he and his wife cared for. He continued to live the good life in Redwater alongside his wife and one after one his three children. His dodo farm became quite famous and he now ships eggs all over the empire.
