Simona Horowitz

Simona Horowitz is a living legend of a Saenian who has never been seen unmasked, and seen rarely otherwise. Despite the immense wealth she is rumored to have and the allure of her and her crew’s mystery, she is not particularly famous. Mention of Simona may even elicit panicked reactions, as if she were some kind of demon. Perhaps because the few who have seen her tend to be lucky survivors of a raid or battle involving her, and no doubt encouraged by the powers of her necklace, The Tetracharm. Something of a recluse, non-aggressors only ever get to speak with spokespeople from her crew, let alone glimpse the woman herself. For all most people know, she could be a thousand years old, but attention to the dearth of details about her reveals a more interesting picture; in her heyday, she’d yet to even crest 30. Perhaps the name was passed down from someone else?

Befitting the stereotype levied upon the “Adohnes,” Simona has little love for the kingdoms of Tel Rialis, and supposedly takes it upon herself to demolish their greatest offenses against the natural world or her fellow Saenian. Rumor has it that she is highly faithful and cares deeply for people—or rather, cares for them in principle—but evidently, she favors concrete, immediate action over spirituality, and has no qualms with ending lives for the good of other lives. Like many of her pirating kin, she lives primarily at sea, but favors the city of Duriya in Ahumm as a target; and as a recruitment hub, from the floating slum off its coasts.
