Battle of Sedaarbol

Military action

It was the first military campaign in which Zynn participated.

The commanding leadership of L’Allegro had tasked General Movelened to take the city-state known as Sedaarbol. They would like to capture this city to freely use the established trade routes to move their armies south. The land is also rich in livestock and agriculture. Great for feeding armies on the march and creating a supply train. Taking the city is vital for L’Allegro’s plans. It is also essential to take the Sedaarbol during the winter. That will slow down or prevent their allies from reenforcing. The city of Sedaarbol has three-ring walls and a tall central stronghold. During the siege of the first wall, the forces of General Movelened were getting battered from the air. Sedaarbol had packs of Hippogriff riders raining arrows from a safe distance. First, the aerial units would drop small kegs of pitch between different military platoons, then a barrage of firebolts would like the black tar substance on fire. Finally, after a fiery wall between the two units, the Hippogriff riders would dive down and pick up the vulnerable soldiers. Once they get high enough, the enormous beast would drop the men.   During the assault, pitch and fire separated Zynns unit. Soon after, razor-tipped talons pierced deeply into his flesh. The pain shot through his nervous system. Zynn eyes begin to turn red as his rage boils over. He used that intense feeling to grasp the hippogriff’s front leg as it released him. The unexpected shift in weight and the battle for control caused the rider to plummet to his death. The two strong beasts began wrestling for power, but Zynn managed to control the unintelligent beast enough to steer it towards the first wall. Once over the structure, he gave control back to the hippogriff and landed on the top of the wall.   The soldiers, loading the siege weapons on top of the bastion, were shocked by the unexpected visitor. One of those startling expressions became permanent as Zynn cleft his head from his shoulders. Unfortunately, the soldiers handling the heavy weapons lacked the skills needed to defeat the raging barbarian. But, more capable men were on their way. Zynn quickly positions the kegs of oil to create a pinch point between him and the coming enemies. He was making sure that there was a firewall at his back.   For Zynn to survive and the army to win, he must open the gates. So he charges down the ramparts towards the leaver. However, the soldiers had difficulty dealing with his dual fighting style. The massive battleaxes caved into the opponents, and their shields were sunder under his unyielding blows. Zynn continued his rage until finally pulling down the lever that controlled the front gates. Once the doors were open, he ensured that they would stay open by destroying the lever.   Zynn’s actions and quick thinking were the keys to the victory of Sedaarbol. It saved the lives of General Movelened forces from a long siege.
