Delta Fjord
The Delta Fjord runs from the Pluto Sea into the Razorfrost Taiga. It is a useful but treacherous route for trade between east and west Pandora.
Geography
The Delta Fjord is a fjord with a river at the bottom teeming with rapids and mountains flanking both sides.
Ecosystem
The land around the fjord has a layer of permafrost that prevents many species of plants from growing. For this reason, most of the organisms in the Delta Fjord are either animals or cold-hardy algae.
Ecosystem Cycles
During the fall and winter, the Delta Fjord is completely frozen over. The fish and algae under the surface go into a state of semi-hibernation during this time.
Climate
Being located so far north, the Delta Fjord is cold year-round. It is particularly harsh in the wintertime.
Fauna & Flora
Because of the permafrost, most organisms in the Delta Fjord are cold-hardy freshwater fish or algae. It is also not uncommon to see northern bird species circling overhead in the warmer months.
Natural Resources
The Delta Fjord serves as a trade route for certain territories. The fact that it extends so far inland has allowed it to be used this way for centuries.
