Razorfrost Taiga
The Razorfrost Taiga is named for its proximity to the Razorfrost Range. Located just south of the mountain range for which it is named and west of Yule City, this frozen forest is impossible to miss.
Geography
The Razorfrost Taiga is a primarily coniferous forest residing in Pandora's northmost region. It is connected to the Delta Fjord via a lake in its western region.
Ecosystem
Being that it is located so far north, the organisms of the Razorfrost Taiga are extremely well-adapted to lower temperatures.
Ecosystem Cycles
The Razorfrost Taiga is completely frozen over in the winter months, with hardly any creatures coming out and the conifers that paint the landscape green covered in a glistening rime of ice. In the warmer months, things are more bearable, but the temperature never rises in excess of 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Climate
The Razorfrost Taiga is not only frigid, but wet. Snow falls in the forest throughout the year, painting the forest in shades of white and blue.
Fauna & Flora
Coniferous trees and various lichens make up most of the taiga's flora. All sorts of woodland creatures adapted to the cold, such as caribou and arctic wolves, compose the taiga's fauna. Yule goats who do not live in Yule City make their homes in the Razorfrost Taiga as well.
Natural Resources
Timber is a main resource of the Razorfrost Taiga. The lake also holds minerals carried via the Delta Fjord from the Pluto Sea inland.
History
The Razorfrost Taiga was the home of the Yule goats long before Yule City was established. Many Yule goats to this day make their homes in this frigid forest.
