Summon Wind Spirit
This is the spell Jack Thunder used to summon the two Wind Spirits in "Jack Thunder and the Fragments of Anima - Book 1: Air."
Effect
This spell summons an Altairian Wind Spirit and commands it change the weather somehow. The Wind Spirit's actions will depend on the specific command given.
Manifestation
As soon as the spell is cast, the wind spirit will appear from the skies and begin carrying out the caster's instructions. It will remain until the task is complete, then it will fly away on its own.
This spell requires quite a bit of Anima to cast. If you do not have a significant amount of magic on your own due to age, a powerful magical artifact charged with an abundance of Air magic is needed.
The incantation has three verses. To cast, raise your hand or magical artifact and recite the first line, which specifies whether to summon a North Wind Spirit or a South Wind Spirit:
Here I summon the North/South Winds! Come unto us!
The next part of the incantation gives the command to the Wind Spirit and specifies the purpose of casting the spell. When Jack Thunder commanded the North Wind Spirit, he used the line,
Use your power to quench the fever of these parched lands!
Finally, complete the spell by saying,
Now, arise!
This signifies the end of the incantation. Soon after, a Wind Spirit will appear and begin working on the task at hand.
It is important not to summon a North Wind Spirit and a South Wind Spirit at the same time unless one has the means to subdue the spirits, as when they see each other they will begin to fight, creating erratic weather.
