The Water Fragment - The Seastone

The Seastone is a smooth teal-and-indigo gemstone on a metal neckband that was bathed in the Sea of Forever to infuse it with the power of the Water element. It was wielded by Mallow the Maelstrom in the War of the Wendigoes. It amplifies the power of any Water spell that is used with it, and it even allows the user to control the tides to their will in battle. Like the other Anima Fragments, it can detect the presence of hidden Fragments in its vicinity and will pulse with light when it gets close.

Manufacturing process

When the wendigoes threatened Mallow's home, she created the Seastone by infusing a sea gem with the abundant Water energy in the Sea of Forever where she lived. She then attached it to her neckband to give herself a boost of magic for fighting.

History

During the War of the Wendigoes, Water Champion Mallow the Maelstrom from a water gem and her neckband. Infused with the power of Water, it became the legendary Water Fragment used against the Heart of Darkness.

During the events of the second book in the "Jack Thunder and the Fragments of Anima" series, the reef siren Buckthorn becomes the new wielder of the Seastone.

Significance

The Seastone is one of the six Anima Fragments that must be collected to banish the Heart of Darkness back to the Flipside. It is infused with the power of Water.
