Astaros

When the first human settlers settled down on the continent a little after The Turbulence, the name of the continent changed into Astaros, whereas Altaros is now the term used of the world in whole. Sometimes, especially in older texts, one needs to be very mindful of the fact or they might get easily confused.

Geography

In the middle of the continent, there exist a big lake, which is called 'the Holy Lake' or Suordaefel by the wood elven tribes living near it. The human countries, Kingdom of Merik and Valonia. Also the free city of Skythos is situated on the continent.
