Khazariel Melviir
Venerated Lady of Arcane, Arcane Advisor Khazariel Melviir
Khazariel Melviir was the matron of House Melviir a few millennia before The Turbulence, or the Great Cave-in as The Turbulence is called in the Underdark. Through a series of events and hard work, she was able to go through the process of becoming a lich. She defied death for several centuries, but in the end her phylactery was either destroyed or lost, which, either way, made Khazariel abandon her post as the advisor of the matron council and never to be seen again. She is presumed to have perished completely.

Body Features
Before the change into a lich she looked just like any other drow woman: her pale ashen grey skin was not anything unique and most drows do have white hair. As studying necromancy can be taxing for the body, her body slowly seemed to lose its vitality; her skin turned to paper thin, wrinkles more prominent and eyes sunken more deep into the sockets. Her turning into a lich changed her body even more, as liches are undead, and she slowly seemed to lose the last of her skins elasticity and vitality, yet she never truly died or turned into a corpse, somehow just looked more withered.

Personal history
Khazariel was born as the second daughter of a matron's sister to the House Melviir. From a young age she had shown aptitude towards magic, especially necromancy and her aunt, who was the matron at the time, instead of feeling intimated by the young girl wielding necromantic magic, encouraged her to learn more, depsite the fact that in the end it would be highly likely for Khazariel to compete in the future with the matron's own daughters of the title of the next matron of the house.
Perhaps because she felt indebted to her aunt, she never openly challenged her cousins of the title. Instead, she devoted herself to her studies and during the years she learned more and more, yet she was not a child prodigy, but she had to put a lot of work into the learning process to finally become something noteworthy. She did marry a son of a matron of House Dalvog and had a daughter and couple of sons.
Khazariel was left to her vises and during the years she deepened her understanding on Eldritch knowledge, which helped the city to survive a epidemic of a magical sickness, which turned out to be a plot of the Illithids to destroy the old drow capital city. She became to known the healer of the withering cough and her skills were recognized by larger audiences for the first time.
No one expected her to seek the key to immortality and when it was revealed that she had become a lich, when she had to take the reigns of the family when her nieces had killed eachother off in a fight for inharitance and the argument had escalated into a lethal one. She did leave the seat of the matron a couple of hunder years later in favor of her granddaughter and continued to act as an advisor in the family, but also in The Matron Council of Zilvraena Noqu'yl. She could have become a matriarch of the city, but an opposition had grown among some of the families of Zilvraena Noqu'yl. Those families formed an alliance and made a plan to rid the city of Khazariel's powerful influence. Their first attempts failed miserably,but eventually some party was able to get their hands on the phylactery of the lich and the great old advisor left the city in hurry, never to return. No one knows if the plan to destroy the lich truly succeeded, but at least Khazariel was never seen again.
