Nealaestar Sea Elf

The Sea of Tears houses many surprises in its uncharted, magically unstable depths. The The Sea Elves who live around the area of The Maiden's Belt have been living there for millennia, before The Turbulence happened and made their peaceful life very different.
Named after the biggest sea elven city in the dephts of The Sea of Tears, Nealaestar sea elves try to survive in the changed waters in many small and medium sized settlements along the whole expanse of the Sea of Tears. They form the biggest concentration of Sea Elves in whole Altaros and if one is to run into a sea elf on land or in water, it's 50/50 change that they are originally from The Sea of Tears.

Nealaestar sea elves are usually rather welcoming towards strangers, even if curious and sometimes overly cautious, depending on person. Monstrous races make the Nealaestar sea elves usually raise their brows, but other humanoid looking creatures are usually accepted quite readily. The Nealaestar sea elves tend to keep to themselves under the waves, but some of those from younger generations (i.e. after the Turbulence) have taken on adventuring.

Common Dress code

The clothing they tend to wear is made of material readily available underwater. Lots of sea shells are used in both clothing and architecture. All-time favourites in the iconography are also hearts and different kinds of fish.
