He is the previous patron of House Myth, who now acts more as advisor to his grandaughter matron Kieress Myth. Together with Drodiin Myth the men are the force that keeps the family together.

Personal history
Szornin was born into House Arabsek'viir and received the best education growing up, so he could support his future wife to the best of his ability. Szornin knew from a young age that he would become a patron of some noble house, but he might have not guessed that he would end up to be married into House Myth. His wife, Ilareth Myth was a sparkly girl full of ambition and together they softened Szornin's mother to the marriage deal. Their marriage was surprisingly serene and even happy, as far as drow marriages go. They had three children together, of which Sindra Myth was kept hidden from the rest of the city. The couple supported each other nicely and both wished to see House Myth to rise up in the ranks, perhaps even enough to gain a seat in the Matron Council.
These plans did not come true because of the death of matron Ilareth. The family had barely survived the previous loss, when the eldest daughter of Ilareth, the new matron Waelna Myth died during childbirth.
Together with Drodiin Myth, his son-in-law, Szornin was able to keep the family together and house Myth survived the tremendous losses of the ruling ladies in such a short period of time. Szornin still acts as an advisor to the current matron (and his granddaughter) Kieress Myth, who had big boots to fill as the matron of the house.

Szornin is well-educated and has deep knowledge on diplomatics of the city of Zilvraena Noqu'yl and inner workings of the ruling families. Apart from bookish knowledge, he has also been taught to be pleasant company and he is a fairly good singer and a musician. It's clear that the ladies have enjoyed his looks and mellow, pleasant temperament, because he is an acknowledged father of four.
Intellectual Characteristics
Szornin is a wise man and he carefully plans every move he makes, which sometimes makes it rather frustrating for those, who are quicker to act. Sometimes he can also be overly cautious and careful, but it might just be part of his upbringing as a man - one has less leeway due to being of the lesser sex.
