Solidarity of Tiamat
As a draconic threat ravaged the world, the Solidarity of Tiamat provided solace and a supposed beacon of hope for the survivors. They offered salvation at the price of fealty and world of peace shared with the ancient chromatic dragons.
Public Agenda
The Solidarity of Tiamat cites the Chromatic Slaughter as the cause of each draconic reawakening - they posit they only way to prevent chromatic dragons from returning this wrath upon Alterra is each mortal soul to repent their misdeeds and swear fealty upon the Dragon Queen when she returns to the material plane.
History
After the breaking, the dragon population quickly began to decline. Several decades after, the last of the metallic dragons had made their havens in Inferne and the southern coasts of Estrata, and the remaining chromatic dragons were hunted down either for protection or for sport.
By 50 AB, many believed the chromatic dragons were all but extinct. That was until 237 AB, the year of the first draconic reawakening. An unprecedented number of dragon sightings and attacks shocked the world as all these dragons seemed to have come from nowhere. No civilization was safe, and the chromatic dragons nearly destroyed them all, the only ones who were promised to be spared, were those who swore fealty to this enigmatic organization.
History is unaware of how honest these claims were due to The Dragon Queen being found and slain by a coalition of adventurers in the year 242 AB; however, the word of the Solidarity's promises had spread and been heard by many. Even after the remaining chromatics were killed off or driven into hiding, this cult remained and grew in numbers consistently prior to the second draconic reawakening in 612 AB. This reawakening only lasted two years as the Dragon Knights, a legion founded by former members of the Solidarity, sacrificed themselves to prevent the ressurection of The Dragon Queen. During these two years, the Solidarity nearly tripled in size, capitalizing on the world's fears.
For a time, the story of the Dragon Knights went largely unrecognized, and the Solidarity became one of the largest cults in Alterra for a time after they successfully predicted the year of the third draconic reawakening in 982 AB and predicting the fourth one to happen sometime between 1250 and 1260 AB. Following the fourth draconic reawakening, this cult began to shrink due to member criticism. The leadership was criticized for being too weak to stand up to the chromatic dragons and for the recent exposure of the execution of dissident members. They became known for their expansive knowledge of dragons, but did little to nothing to protect the world from them.
After losing favor throughout the world, they began to fear losing the favor of their patron. After a few centuries without a reawakening, the new leadership of the Solidarity hatched the plan of kidnapping the son of The Platinum Dragon and using him as a vessel for the Dragon Queen's soul, sparking the fifth draconic reawakening in 1697 AB. This reawakening only lasted 5 months due to the combined efforts of a group of mercenaries, a school of wizards, and the new Dragon Knights. Following this reawakening, the Solidarity all but collapsed after multiple confrontations with the Dragon Knights.
Some believe the Soliarity has disbanded, others believe they are simply in hiding, licking their wounds until the next draconic awakening.
