Anatomy
They have a fairly short, thick neck, short arms, a bulky body, long legs, and a heavy tail that is held rigid by ossified tendons near the base.
Their heads are short with a high and domelike mass of thick bone (up to 10 inches) and abundant bony knobs protruding from the front and sides of their heads.
They possess large, rounded eye sockets that face forward, giving the animal binocular vision and they have a small muzzle that ends in a rounded beak holding teeth that are tiny, sharp, triangular, and blade-like.
