Travel to Fisk and See Temple 3/13/2023 Report
General Summary
Finn Oliver lead the group from Sherington to Fisk so that they could find and rid the temple of the evil creatures inhabiting it; as well as rescue any surviving townsfolk.
On the way to Fisk they encountered an Oni that was faking being in destress to lure travelers into it's grasp. After dispatching the giant they continued on to town.
Once they arrived at Fisk the group took rooms in the 4 Copper Inn. Rhys continued the ruse that the group was a family, while taking 3 rooms for the duration.
After settling in, the group went to the Stone Chicken pub in order to talk to the locals and was told that the temple was about 5 miles out of town in a swampy / lake area but that no one had ventured there in years due to the monsters about (crocs, giant snakes, and the rumors of a green dragon) and that "Lloyd the trapper" was an eye witness to some of the creatures.
Later when they went to talk to Lloyd they found that he had disappeared at least 2 days ago
The next morning everyone piled onto Iosefka's flying carpet and headed towards their destination. Flying made it easy to spot the temple and they were heading strait for it when a baby green dragon challenged the group to a "fight ". They were able to convince it to wait until the task was finished and it told them of a secret entrance under the water. The baby assured them that it would be waiting for them to finish their task so that they could play and that they would not be able to sneak away from it.
Our heros found the opening with no problem but also found that it was not meant to be an entrance, as it was covered with metal bars. After trying several things they were able to "melt" the bars with magic and enter. The first door that the group encountered after entering took them down a flight of stairs to a room with a huge cage in the center. Inside the cage were 4 human adults and 1 human minor (the Kallovich family - Sam and Gretchen and their 2 sons James and young Aiden - as well as Lloyd) and outside of the cage, poking at the humans were 3 yuan-ti.
Our heros attacked at once of course, killing 2 of the yuan-ti before the third one fell to the floor and begged for mercy; swearing fealty to the group.
