Mount. Veletha

The resource rich mountain that sustains the Kingdom of Cynth

A formidable mountain famous for housing the city of Wayside on its southern side. The strategic location of the mountain creates a natural defense for the northern portion of Wayside. Mt. Veletha however is the site to an extensive and in depth mining operation conducted in Wayside.

Geography

Mount. Veletha isn't considered a significantly tall mountain or treacherous mountain in comparison to the other peaks in Eastern Altheria. But in Enithe it is an above average peak. In terms of the mountain itself it is a steady sloped mountain angled from points of 30 to 50 degrees. Mount. Veletha isn't tall enough to be a snow covered peak however.

Fauna & Flora

Not many creatures call the mountain home. Outside the denizens of Wayside, predators and herbivores alike can be found on the lower portions of the mountain. Farther up both flora and fauna begin to disappear the most common sites and mining holes and rails that were constructed by the miners working inside the mountain. Inside of Mount. Veletha there are a few varying creatures to be found. Primarily burrowing worms and other creatures that call the darkness of the underground home.

Natural Resources

The primary resource inside Mount. Veletha is silver. There is an abundance of silver inside the mountains, gold is actually quite common as well. The abundance of these two minerals gave the mountain its nickname of "The Shimmering Mountain" this came about when the first crew of miners broke into a cave pocket in the mountain and their torch light was reflected and shimmered across the open veins of silver and gold.

The importance of Mount. Veletha cannot be overestimated. Not only does it provide us with a steady supply of minerals but the natural protection it provides us with from the Torruct and Ommunt kingdoms is invaluable to the survival of our kingdom. This mountain represents our longevity and strength. You will not so blatantly disrespect it.
