Sugarcane
Sugarcane or sugar cane is a species of tall grass that is used for sugar production. It is a very important cash crop and is grown all over the West Bharats, mainly on the islands of Barnabas, Saint-Dominique, and Rimnoque. It is refined into crystalline sugar, a luxury good in Ereon, and molasses, which is often further distilled into Rum.
Basic Information
Growth rate & Harvesting
Sugarcane can grow to a height between 2-6 m within a period of 12 months. It is then harvested by a sugarcane cutter who cut the cane near to the ground, where the largest concentration of sugars is found, before lopping off the green tips. A good cutter can cut three tons of cane per day on average.Additional Information
