Alard Stone is a way of the kensei monk from the Monastery of flowers who leads the role as quartermaster of the monastery, ensuring equipment is maintained and regularly stocked for those defending the monastery and training in it. 
He is a mysterious and secretive male with stringy white hair and brutal burns and facial scars that left him blind in one eye and heavily scarred... though he never tells anyone about what happened to his face, leading to a LOT of debate and conspiratorial discussion. 
Alard Stone had a tempestuous relationship with Elder Tai Shan and often sparred with him in private despite their public coldness towards one another. 
He has recently been ostracised further at the monastery due to being the last person to see Tai Shan but refusing to comment on what they talked about. Elder Caste's patience is exemplified by allowing him to continue his role in any capacity in the monastery.
