Chapter 10, Session 3: The interview, the Tournament, the assault

General Summary

I made a mistake, I was a novice... but we aren't here to defend that, we're here to help.

• Fen clarifies his A'mlon mistake in an interview with Reporter Kovir.

The party knew they had around 6 hours before the start of the Elementa tournament and so, as a result, Mimsi took on her Lady Green persona and had Persicorum (sans Olympia who stayed behind to prepare their kits for the Elementa tournament) go with her to complete the long overdue interview with Reporter Kovir. 
The party prepared themselves and visited The Silver Sparrows centre in Blackstone where they found a relatively mundane office building with two disinterested receptionists taking stories. 
Mimsi interposed the queue and, upon revealing who they were, wheels were set in motion in the news organisation as Kovir quickly brought the party into his office and started the interview with them whilst his assistant brought the party refreshments.
The party answered a myriad of Kovir's questions about their adventures, their purpose and about the A'mlon incident. 
Notably the party seemed to impress Kovir, especially Fen who, when grilled on what had happened in A'mlon, gave a passionate speech about his feelings about Aist Mages and the idea of forbidden magic in the world before Anastasia told Kovir about Dashilla the Dark Queen and her coming return. 
The interview ended and Kovir thanked the party, expressing that he intended to publish the groups responses in full to hopefully swing public opinion. However, before he left he asked to speak to Fen privately. 
However, during this interview, Thordak left earlier and went to a nearby tavern where he spoke to the tavern owner about his feeling that he gives more to the party than they give to him whilst also acknowledging that he saw them as family and valued them. 
With that, the groups met back up and Olympia gave them their peach inspired uniforms and, with that, the group moved to The Blackstone Rox Centre and formally entered the tournament.
Upon entering the waiting area, the party saw a variety of groups preparing for their matches and, amongst them, they saw Asharra Zenkei and her own friends there. Asharra acknowledged the party with her usual brand of frustration and expressed that she was aiming to take part in the tournament to win the prize for herself and use it to escape her family.
With that, the party entered the stadium to an overwhelming chorus of boos and jeers from the crowd who still recognise Persicorum as enemies of The Elected Crown of Alturis. and Blackstone. 
The party played against a group of dragonborn on a team and the match started with Olympia and Ez acting as the party casters, Kodo, Mimsi and Anastasia acting as strikers, Thordak in goal and Fen playing the role of substitute and coach!

Notes

The rules for Elementa changed after this session to the dummy moving 5ft for every 5 damage and the field getting bigger to account for higher tier play.
