Ellena Swarov
I don't like her and I don't believe she's changed all that much. The Inquisitors are bad, the Mage Slayer's were bloodthirsty monsters by comparison. If you're an Aist, stay away.Ellena Swarov is the elderly former member of the Mage-Slayers/Inquisitors. She left the group after an upsetting interaction with Xan, Grumph and Nirya. She has stayed in Edmonton and owned her store ever since. Ellena is a mysterious figure in Edmonton, a skilled fighter and warrior despite her age and constantly staying in dark and dim spaces and wearing a shroud over her head as though in mourning. Her most notable feature is a heavy scar across her cheek in a crisscross shape. She often trains with Eb, Mary and Sue who all seem to like her. Many in the town make a point of avoiding her, especially Aist mages like Nikolaus Woven and his family who have not forgotten the bloodthirsty hunts of the Mage-Slayers before they were endorsed and employed by the Elected States. Ellena is a skilled blacksmith and enchanter who specialises in creating weapons for mage hunters and traps/armour that are most useful against Spellcasters. Persicorum assisted Ellena in hunting down creatures in The Mammoth Peaks that had kidnapped people from the town, during this job, the party (Fen specifically) regularly came into disagreement with her loathing of Aist mages but she proved a committed ally in the fight with the fey creatures in the caverns and she also agreed to head to the feywild with Persicorum to help them find Mimsi. During her time in The Feywild Ellena was submitted to extreme and exhausting trauma to the point that she became mute, gaunt and weak as a result and has been silently travelling with Persicorum or hiding inside one of Hayili Flickermask's bags ever since.

Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Ellena is athletic and lithe in build, fighting fit and roguish in her physique and look despite her age.
Body Features
She is heavily scarred from years of fighting hard, but the most noticeable scar is the criss cross on her cheek that always seems to be weeping as though not healed (she opens up the scar every night and morning).
Special abilities
Ellena is non magical but is a high level bloodhunter order of the mutant, though she hasn't used mutagens in years.
She is exceptionally skilled in fighting mages and uses her abilities with the hunt to track down mages and decide the good from the bad.
Apparel & Accessories
She wears a black shroud over her head as though she is constantly in mourning, she then wears common clothes with studded leather belts, spaulders and padding for protection.
She wields a pistol on her belt, along with a curved rapier with thick blades, this rapier can be split in two to form two shortswords. The rapier's metal is pitch-black, a similar coloration to Dread's Bane.

Personal history
Ellena was the fourth founding member of the Mage-Slayers along with Grumph Fellblade, Xan Prayerkeep and Nirya Moonbrook. She was a skilled crafter of equipment that was specialised in killing mages of all kinds. Though eventually they were more focused on killing/hunting what would become Aist Mages.
Ellena often worked in a pair with Nirya and still sees them as members of the same 'pack' to this day... Ellena was deeply marked by the Hunt along with Nirya after all.
When the Mage-Slayer's were absorbed by the elected crown Ellena discovered she was going to be based in Umalla as an Arch-Inquisitor and couldn't follow through, the fact that she'd be far away from her other pack mate (and due to a large level of unrequited love) Nirya. She fought against this ruling and, in a meeting of the four arch-inquisitors, she revealed her feelings for Nirya and asked to stay with her.
In the same moment, Xan asked that Nirya show her faith to the group by teaching Ellena a lesson and banishing her, Nirya, pregnant at the time, scratched into Ellena's cheek and banished her. Ellena never found out if Nirya was sorry for the banishment and Ellena never discovered that Thordak Moonbrook's Mother, Ellara, was named after her.
Ellana moved to Edmonton from that point and has never got over the scar, or the feeling of betrayal and abandonment.

Ellena is pansexual but follows the hunt pack mindset, whereas Temptation chooses a string of affairs and passionate moments with warriors on missions to sate herself, Nirya chooses isolation and solitude as a way of settling her addiction and Cain was driven berserk by lust for those he perceived as lesser than his hunt.
Ellena chooses to 'imprint' on one person, becoming obsessed and deeply in love with Nirya in the name of the hunt and her own heart.

Ellena studied mage hunting with the other now arch-inquisitors, she specialised in crafting armour and items for efficient fighting against Mages.

She has owned the Mage-Slayer's Garb for the last 15 years since she left her previous employment with the Mage-Slayer's faction.
Failures & Embarrassments
Being discarded from the group and now not being acknowledged as a founding member of the Inquisitor's and Mage-Slayers as Ellena has been forgotten in the 're-branding'.
Mental Trauma
Being assaulted by Nirya Moonbrook and being discarded from the pack is a deeply traumatising thing for a member of the 'Hunt'. Ellena harbors mixed feelings about Nirya now... deep down the old love and camaraderie is there, but she also can't get over the searing anger and sense of loss.
Taboos
Ellena harbours a lot of interest in mages, not Aist mages exclusively but rather just mages that she sees as dangerous. She will not have ambition and magic ruining the only home she has found.
