The Sea Wanderer is the current ruler of Squall's End. A former pirate captain, privateer and quartermaster to the Pirate King in Umala. He was feared across all of Alturis' seas and skies with his ship, 'The Falling Star' that was capable of both being an air and water vessel.
This came to an end when the Falling Star came across The Mist whilst Sea Wanderer was raiding the Umala coast. Battle between the two ships began before The Pirate King offered an agreement with Wanderer. A dual between the two of them, winner takes all. Witnesses claim it was an epic event with both swordsmen possessing incredible skill. Eventually however, the Pirate King wounded Wanderer but chose to spare him.
This was the beginning of an exceptionally fruitful relationship between the two of them
Wanderer worked on the seas for 25 years without stopping and, by the time they returned to the southern coastal fishing town known as Squalls End there was rumour the Falling Star was no longer capable of flight, such was the weight of all their loot.
Wanderer returned to find his sister had been a Aist mage in hiding and was slaughtered by a group of inquisitors, swearing vengeance, Wanderer turned Squall's End into a fortress for pirates, mercenaries, Aist mages and all who swore against the Elected Crown. Over the course of 10 years, it has become a citadel that is yet to fall and is now prepared to aggressively assault the rest of Alturis.
The only thing stopping him uniting with the Pirate King is the non-political nature of Umala and the fact that they were lovers before Sea Wanderer discovered the truth about their sister, this led to a rift in their relationship, with the Pirate King unwilling to commit to battling the elected crown and Inquisitors in order to remain non-political and Sea Wanderers fiery personality not taking the news well.
Over the last few years he has taken steps to reconcile with the Pirate King that have been rebuffed whilst they have begun to come into conflict with each other as the men of Squall's End continue to increase their presence at sea and drift into the Pirate King's territory.
