The Scare of 427

The Scare of 427 is the culmination of centuries of the Ecclesia Plyydric's Ierapóstolos, which had been attempting to convert Gelaßenheit to worshipers of Twin Gods Plyy.

The Conflict

Prelude

The Ecclesia Plyydric's Ierapóstolos had been undergoing missions to Gelaßenheit since 123 A.I. The Ierapóstolos were largely unsuccessful until a typhoon had devasted the eastern coast of The Einsame Insel in 389 A.I.   Following the typhoon, the rise in believers of the Twin Gods Plyy rapidly grew as the population looked for answers that the Gelaßenheiten Bundenregeirung wasn't providing.

Battlefield

While there was not an actual recognized battle between the Gelaßenheiten Bundenregeirung and the Believers of Plyy, there were numerous killings and destruction that occured over 427.   The then incumbent Hörfäh, Adrian Pascal had been assassinated on February 1st, 427, which is regarded as the start of the scare. Following his assassination, his older brother Ben Pascal would successfully run for Hörfäh and attempt to steer Gelaßenheit away from direct conflict.     Over the course of the year, three Phantasta: Valerie Sina, Emilio Trenker, and Elsa Mayer were assassinated. Angelina Fuchs would be chosen as the fourth Phantasta and would work in tandem with Ben Pascal to achieve a resolution with as few casualties as possible.

The Engagement

Following the Believers of Plyy burning igniting a fire that caused the death of 182 civilians, the Gelaßenheiten Bundenregeirung enacted a strict curfew, and would arrest any individuals even tangentially related to the Believers. Over the course of this crackdown, the leader of the Believers Canus Aemilius would be aprehended by the government after a noise complaint came from his neighbour. Upon the police arriving to his home, they found a heated meeting between himself and a few other high-ranking leaders within the Believers, which resulted in the suprisingly easy arrest of Aemilius.

Outcome

The expelling of the Ierapóstolos and official Ecclesia Plyydric indivuals and businesses resulted in a large loss of financial and political stability for the country for the following decade. The Gelaßenheiten Bundenregeirung and its populace would thouroughly expunge any connection to the Ecclesia Plyydric and limit imports of Provecten people and goods.

Aftermath

The long-term effects of the Scare of 427 resulted in a drastic reduction in technological and scientific imporvement within Gelaßenheit, as the distruct and dislike directed towards Provecta limited its growth.

Belligerents

Strength

The Believers of Plyy were a subset of the population of Gelaßenheit that had become converted and then deeply devout to the Ecclesia Plyydric. They were backed by the Ecclesia Plyydric financially but they nor Provecta had sent soldiers or weaponry to the group.
The majority of the population within Gelaßenheit disapproved of the Ecclesia Plyydric's pressuring to join the religion, and directly opposed the installment of a government led by the Ecclesia Plyydric.

Casualties

Canus Aemilius, the leader of the Believers of Plyy were arrested and convicted to life in prison. The 22 highest ranking individuals under him had either been killed by vigilantes, or similarly imprisioned.
Numerous Referenters, as well as the then Hörfäh, Adrian Pascal, and three Phantasts, Valerie Sina, Emilio Trenker, and Elsa Mayer were assassinated by the Believers of Plyy. Hundreds of civilians were also killed in either random acts of violence, but the majority were killed when the Believers of Plyy burned down a large housing complex.

Objectives

They sought to destroy the Gelaßenheiten Bundenregeirung and implant a theocratic government overseen by the Ecclesia Plyydric.
They sought to remove the Ecclesia Plyydric's power within the region, dissolve the Believers of Plyy, and stabalize the political landscape with Gelaßenheit.
