County of Vexin
Territories
Norman Vexin is located in the Southeast of the Duchy of Normaundi, bordering the Norman County of Evereux to the West and the County of Rouan to the North. Its Southern border along the Epte river is taken up by the small Nuestrian sovereignties of the Counties of Mantes, Vexin Gallia and the Viscounty of Chaumont from West to East.
The Sena River cuts through the region, forming steep cliffs in the limestone plateau. The valleys are dominated by beech forests.
Military
Norman Vexin boasts two powerful fortifications within its territory, Kastell Gaillard and Kastell Gisors, built by the Norman Lords as a counter to Neustrian counterattack following Fomorian conquest of the region.
