Large and brutish in appearance, it is difficult to reconcile the orcs as being of fey ancestry, though they are. Some say they were elves once, while others say elves and orcs derived from a common ancestor. Whatever the truth, there is a kinship between the two species that harkens back to their roots in the Feywild.
