Marbellian the First is the very first leader of the Marbelliese people, the founder of the First Republic of the East, its first General, and for a short duration, king.

Personal history
Marbellian was born in an unknown location of the Arken continent, and grew in a fairly normal family. He learned very early on to wield the sword, due to constant conflicts between the various tribes and small kingdoms of what is now known as the country of Marbellian. Working for the military forces of a Viscount whose name fell to time, he managed to unify three neighbouring regions, and made a name for himself as a great commander, an honorable man, and a terrifying fighter.
Eventually, as time went on and his conquests grew grander, he got more ennemies that tried to be his end, but all failed, either to his sword or his words, and a short rebellion later, he became the leader of the now united eastern part of the continent. Leading his people with fervor and power, he took everything he could until the end of his life, where he was crowned King of the Kingdom of the East, and reformed it a couple years later as the First Republic of the East, not wanting to be a monarch, content to only lead the military forces of the country.
His legacy was so great that his suspected descendants took his first name as their family name, and named the country after him.
