She quickly blazed through her schooling years, getting the skills and knowledge needed to pursue her career in record time. She was the first of her siblings to become independent of her parents. Her discoveries and findings in several dig sites across Shahiri and other regions of Tressa brought her a good bit of renown across certain circles of scholars and historians.

She desperately wants to reconnect with her son Krigga, not only so she can be a part of his life again, but to protect him too. Erika wants to form and maintain new relationships with people, having more colleagues than friends for most of her adult life.

Erika is a savvy bookworm, well acquainted with antiquity and magical theory/practice. She is, however, quite pathetic when it comes to anything requiring physical strength. Her main vice is alcohol; even before the death of her previous husband and her son abandoning her, Erika often turned to alcohol when she was feeling down. It wasn't too bad if she had friends and family nearby; she was too afraid to ruin how her loved ones saw her; if they weren't around, she would indulge herself till passing out.
Erika is very impatient, going for easy and quick solutions to the detriment of herself and whoever happens to be around her. She speaks about caution being a much-needed virtue, blatantly disregarding herself, and being a hypocrite for the sake of convenience. Her facade of confidence and the need to look strong in front of others ebbs away at her more logical side, clouding her judgment.
Erika tends to be superfluous in her actions, though this is more for her ego and self-indulgence. It's deeply rooted in her desire to be noticed and recognized; she always wanted to prove herself, especially to her parents, feeling inferior to her siblings for her lack of talent with their bloodline magic.
