Her greatest failure would be being responsible for her husband's death and her son's falling out with her. She's embarrassed by her lack of skill with her family's bloodline magic, being utterly humiliated and becoming jealous of her younger siblings.

It wasn't too bad if she had friends and family nearby; she was too afraid to ruin how her loved ones saw her; if they weren't around, she would indulge herself till passing out.
 
Erika is very impatient, going for easy and quick solutions to the detriment of herself and whoever happens to be around her. She speaks about caution being a much-needed virtue, blatantly disregarding herself, and being a hypocrite for the sake of convenience. Her facade of confidence and the need to look strong in front of others ebbs away at her more logical side, clouding her judgment.
 
Erika tends to be superfluous in her actions, though this is more for her ego and self-indulgence. It's deeply rooted in her desire to be noticed and recognized; she always wanted to prove herself, especially to her parents, feeling inferior to her siblings for her lack of talent with their bloodline magic.

She frequently smiles and laughs, even if she isn't happy. In an attempt to deflect being asked how she feels. Often she finds herself trying to appear confident despite her true feelings. A sign of her genuine happiness is a subtle change in her posture; she stands a little taller.
 
It's hard to notice, but Erika slightly hunches when she feels dread or uncertainty in a situation. When she's stressed to the point of breaking, she can't even bring herself to hide her tail anymore, letting it anxiously flail and wave about erratically.
