Mirror of Future Misfortune
20th of Fellal
If you could see the worst possible eventuality that your future could hold, would you look?
Would it make you appreciate what you have? Or would it leave you looking over your shoulder?
I didn't think it would be a big deal, and I could have guessed that would be what it would show me:
As I am walking with my sister, we are joined by my father. After his approach, I put down my blades and continue walking after him with my head hung.
It was LAUGHABLE, I said. No one questioned it.
But, then I thought about it a bit too much. After all, it is the worst possible that the future holds for me. Possible.
But it couldn't happen, surely not.
Could it?
I'm not crazy
3rd of Sessam
I know what you are thinking. You think I am crazy. Well, so do they.
I can hear him. I know he is not here physically, but he has spies everywhere. Father always was charismatic.
I'll admit, I did go a little crazy when I jumped in into the Realm of Death after Miri. But, I was worried that she wouldn't come back, but she did and so did I. So, we are fine. Right?
I told Miri about the voices, about the visions. I don't care that Grey is a werewolf. I care that he might be working with Zandock, my father. Why doesn't he understand that?
Why is it rude to ask?
So, what if it sounds like an accusation. Can you blame me?
I freaking apologized without my swords even. I gave him a chance to kill me. But he didn't which doesn't necessarily prove him. But, it's a start I suppose.
They think I'm just paranoid. But I'm not so sure.
"Deadly" Land of the Dead
3rd of Sessam, 1578 A.B.
Miri decided that she was going to the land of the dead to complete the quest for the watcher. Which is FINE. What I didn't expect was how quickly she could managed to get in contact with the Watcher and his servants. It had taken us two days to travel here from Gistro, you'd think it would take just as long... but noooooooooo.
Apparently the Watcher has his hand in every cookie jar.
She asked who would go with her and we all ended up coming... for reasons. It was interesting.
According to Fen, the energy around there emanated death with it centered on the water of a certain body of water.
It was dark when we got there and I tried to talk with Miri, but the others interrupted me saying I was too loud... I WASN'T. They were listening to my conversation because they are spying on me. They are trying to get in my head.
There were footprints of some massive wolf or other creature, that went around our camp. I didn't see one though and I wonder whether someone put them there to make me feel like I was going crazy... it won't work.
In the morning, we agreed that Miri would go into the portal of death, and we would all wait 3 minutes before following after her.
I was counting the seconds, but then I realized I was counting slow, and tried to count faster. I tried to go in after her, but my friends were trying to hold me back. Eventually, I ended up in the water and I broke a way. I swam down and found myself in the most dead looking place that I have ever seen.
It was also super painful. I looked for Miri. She was looking as alive as ever and told me to go back. She promised that she would also come. So, I went back, and then had to battle drowning. I was covered in a weird blood that the death water didn't seem to wash off while I was in it.
Grey, in particular, was mad at me, but hey! Who else can say they went to the land of the dead and returned? Just Miri and me.
Would I go back? Not on your life. But perhaps for Miri.
A Quest for a King
36th of Teltal, 1578 A.B.
We, the Chaos Children, or whatever we are called, beat the Trial of Three and proved ourselves worthy of the quest of the king. However, the quest wasn't as straightforward as it initially seemed. The king, for whatever reason decided that we- strangers- were to be trusted with the secrets of the kingdom and the responsibility to save it from certain peril.
Each member of the Chaos Crew prepared in their own ways, before heading out to "deal with" a hag that the king had dealt with once before.
On the way, we were attacked by moving plants. And Igni almost died. Nothing else of note happened that night, it is none of your business leave her alone.
Eventually we reached the hag's cottage and it was just a dump. It smelled bad, she smelled bad. She looked like a half rotten corpse (no offense Miri). She was evil and I hated her. But at least she was honest in her evility and I can respect that.
We made a deal with the hag and I drank a potion and nothing else of note happened. Shut up. No one asked you.
When I woke up the next day, my sister and other party members bullied me and ordered me around. I hate them.
They are still ordering me around.
We talked to the king and I wanted to yell at him. But I didn't... and that's called progress.
