The Moon Shattered

Elune's heart shatters, and with it the singular moon is split into four.

At the turn of the era, Elune was struggling to have her beautiful creatures of the night accepted by all of creation. She loved her creations and desired to show all that night was just as lovely as the day could be.   However, she was betrayed. Two of her own creations: Barthar and Ragnaar betrayed her and convinced the beings of the day that her creations were dark and twisted abominations. Despite her protests and desires, she could not sway the hearts of those who felt threatened by the dark creatures they now considered an evil threat.   Watching her creations be slaughtered and her time of night become considered dark and evil, Elune's heart broke and with it the moon shattered. It was then attended by her four daughters: Bella, Amina, Mica, and Vivian.
