The necrotic actions of Nummer Kalla who nearly brought Tera'tun under his sole control. This ended the War of Four by its own necessity.

A powerful dark wizard, named Nummer Kalla, gave credence to his dark inhibitions and through a ritual that withered his wife, four sons and only daughter away, he cast the country of Tera’tun under a dark shadow, bringing several creatures of the night to life under his command. The armies that had previously been dedicated to destroying one another in the War of Four turned and managed to put their differences aside to combat this new threat.   The three factions still alive were forced to combined with one another. However, having previously worked under different commanders, they were never a smoothly functioning unit. This left them as a disadvantage to the creatures of darkness, who were numerically a smaller force.   They fought for seven very long months and at the end of it all, less than 10,000 sentient beings were alive in the country. However, Captain Wills had successfully parted Nummer’s head from his body with a Vopal Blade, and ended the unending night. For the first time in nearly a year, everyone saw the sun. To this day, the Day of Sun is a Tera’tun holiday celebrated on the first Quinte in Ria every year.
