The White Eye

In the early days of The Rending War, several factions emerged from the Cult of the Gods of the Void as news spread that Divines had returned. The cult grew out of the traditional religious practices of the Empire of Keshwar, but as evidence of Avatars grew, the various subsections of the broader cult divided over formulating an appropriate response.   The most extreme of these was The White Eye, which began as a small cult following the lesser gods of the Divine Realm, known as "White" or "Blue" Gods. These Divines only have access to the emotional aspects of Kata produced in the Human Realm, but also had a strong appeal amongst those who viewed Humans as being the superior species. Toward the end of the Rending War, it is understood that they became fixated on the White Gods who had emerged in Basat and Turat, and in the worship of Aya Tetahu-Ametepet as their spiritual leader.

History

Not much is known about the White Eye prior to the Rending War. It may well have been a part of the larger cult for many years, its attention focused on the worship of ancient Keshwari White Gods of war, rage, repression, and other "human" producers of unstable kata. While the Divines were not considered to be present as Avatars on Amaresh, the White Eye may have been a loose association of minor cults based in the Keshwari Central Tir.   The organisation only emerged as a significant power several years into the Rending War, when it became apparent that Aya, the twin sister of the High Ashad Isha, was standing againt Isha's philosophy and politics. Anyone opposed to the collectivist philosophy of The Black Eye and The Black Hand gravitated to the White Eye.
