Dawn World

When the Long Night came to an end, the World was set free, to dance and grow on its own, guided only by the craft of the Four Sovereigns. Vision, Will, and Substance were all one. Thought and emotion shaped reality. So did the First Minds raise their city of Luminias, shaped from light itself, a shining beacon of loveliness across the entirety of the world.   This world, the world of the Dawn era, came to an end when Uzhul and his legions tore the city of Luminias apart. Though the Dragons came to scatter and dismay the fiends, the Elemental Sovereigns knew that their world, malleable and wondrous, would only continue to draw the covetous and malevolent from beyond the Hungry Dark. They put an end to the Dawn World by dividing it into Four Kingdoms.   While the Mortal Realm was now governed by Substance, not by Will, much of the power of the Dawn World was saved and woven into the Otherworld, an undercurrent of magic and wonder to brighten the world of Mortals.   In and of itself, the Dawn World is gone, divided and harvested to create the Four Kingdoms. But pockets of that original Light still exist, and though they are not places one can go, they are wellsprings of power that let the Will of thinking beings change reality. These pockets are the source of Dawn Magic, the secret art of the Alfar.
