Elves
At the Dawn of Time, when the Worlds were One, spirits of light and passion clothed themselves in matter. They took on countless wondrous forms, changing from one moment to the next, as fast as their will and vision changed. These were the Sidhe, the Peoples of Old, the Elder Fey. Beauty and curiosity were their only calling, and they gathered together to combine their creativity and art. The result was Luminias, the City of Light, with towers of crystal and winding vines, bridges of light and roads of pure song.
Such was the beauty of Luminias that it drew the eye of the Fiends of the Hungry Dark . Led by the High Infernals, they descended on the fledgling world of Anacra, destroyed Luminias despite the efforts of its godlike heroes, and devoured the Sidhe en masse.
To contain the fiends and protect the world from the Hungry Dark, the Sovereigns split the world into four. Reality was now bound and anchored, and the Sidhe could not exist as they did before. They had to choose their form and nature.
Thus the Elves came to be. Each kindred of elves chose a different world for their home, and their choice shaped their spirits and their bodies. But all of them sing of the Light of Luminias, the death of Barash and Loetne, and the loss of their boundless dance.
