The Four Sovereigns
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Sovereigns, in their true forms, are the raging cosmic essence of the Four Elements. Erecura is the earth, Vindur is the air, Sin is all fire and Li-Ban is all water.
Fortunately for mortals, the Sovereigns often take anthropomorphic shapes. They have assumed identities to their own liking, and though they can alter themselves at will, they usually slip into recognizable, comfortable forms--anywhere from 10' to 100' tall, surging with elemental power, with voices that can shatter a mortal ear.
Biological Traits
Immortal, but not invulnerable. The Sovereigns are immune to the ravages of time and require no sustenance of any kind. Whether they are worshipped or not, they endure, for they are keystones of creation.
Though a Sovereign cannot truly die, they can be Discorporated. A discorporated Sovereign loses the ability to manifest themselves, merging forever with their element. Their will and power lives on, but slumbering, a vague and disembodied force of the world.
Genetics and Reproduction
The Sovereigns are capable of shaping offspring from their elements. In this way, they created the genies, the giants, and the dwarves.
They are also capable of asexual or sexual reproduction, and such offspring are called Titans, the next most powerful elemental beings. Titans can share powers and aspects of all of their parents, leading to unique and mighty deities.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
While the Sovereigns are not omniscient, their powers of perception far exceed those of lesser beings. They have a primal connection to their own element, able to extend their senses to keep watch over the Four Kingdoms.
That said, they are not immune to deception, though it takes truly awesome magic or cunning to outwit them.
Like all Powers, speaking a Sovereign's name has a good chance of drawing their attention.
