Var-Yash is a Hhrot warrior and member of the highly militaristic Third Legion. As one of the few psychic individuals of his species, he was often seen as somewhat of a freak, and this has left him needing to prove himself even further to advance within the brutal efficiency of Hhrot society. Despite these setbacks, Var-Yash has proven himself a highly reliable platoon leader who knows to lead his men and survive in the harshness of the worlds chosen to survive on by the isolationist Hhrot Dominion.
On his very first tour of duty, Var-Yash gained a place in the Hhrot history books. Whilst clearing a settlement site on Planetfall, his unit was ambushed by the planet's extremely hostile wildlife. Finding himself without support and with all higher-ups dead, it fell to him to keep his unit fighting and complete his mission. For 30 days, his platoon endured the attacks of a particularly vicious thresher maw, but his actions kept unit morale high and the gigantic worm was eventually slain in a bloodbath of glory. His leadership skills and courage have been duly noted by higher-ups, who have given him the highest rank within his platoon. His unit is often sent ahead of time to prepare colony sites and clear them of potential hazards, and has from time to time supported other units in hunting the dangerous wildlife which continues to plague Hhrot planetary holdings.
