Welcome to Tau Elpis

For 15000 years, the interstellar community of the Pyxis Globula galaxy thrived, soaring on the back of powerful and esoteric FTL drives which broke the laws of reality to bridge stars ever closer together. As recently as 500 cycles ago, a new age of colonization and boundless expansion was ushered in through technological advancement, and it looked like nothing could thwart the grand dreams of the five key cultures that shone across the Globula. Without warning, the Oberon Incursion emerged from a ripple in the void : extraplanar daemonfey, hellbent on destroying the Globula's precious FTL tech and those who created it. Relentlessly, they ruined world after world with overwhelming force, propelling the Globula to fight a campaign of hopeless and total destruction. Within fifty cycles, much of the galaxy had been left in ruins. Increasingly isolated sectors were swallowed by the Oberon's insatiable hunger. It fell to the Arkblazer Order to shoulder the last hopes of a dying galaxy. In their quest to safeguard as much life as possible, they stumbled upon an Ark from an unknown precursor race. Out of the jaws of defeat, salvation. Millions of people boarded the ship and embarked on an impossible one-way journey across the intergalactic void. So did the Great Jump prove to be the start of a new future for survivors turned pioneers of fortune, making forays and establishing themselves in the suspiciously bountiful worlds of the ternary star system Tau Elpis, on the rim of the Circinus Stream dwarf galaxy.

Shoot for the Stars

Guns, ships, seedy outposts tethering on the edge : 150 years later, the colonies of Tau Elpis form the culmination of unprecedented efforts towards establishing an extra-galactic foothold. Play as a noble, mystic Boshaari, a pioneer herding space whales, or a brutish Hhrot with a big phaser on your hip. Or would you rather be a Coalition rectifier looking to ruffle some feathers? Perhaps a cultist intent on using the Ark's secrets to reclaim your lost home? For the millions of denizens of Elpis, surviving is no longer good enough; now the goal is to reclaim what was lost and thrive once more.
