Arethemis: Might and Meal

The land of Torm is a noble one. Justice, hard work, fairness, kindness, all are core to the beliefs of those who live in the region of Arethemis. The two largest exports of this country belong to their ability to grow food and assemble martial forces. While Anatheous itself has never seen an open conflict between it's nations, it has experienced incursions from far more sinister sources. In an attempt to supply the whole of Anatheous with adequate military might in case these incursions were to ever grow in ambition, they've focused on these few strengths they so gladly boast. Being the bridge between most of the other lands on the world, they're poised to be able to deliver an incredible amount of goods and steel within days. As such, they are the primary source of food for most inns, taverns, restaurants, and markets.   The land itself has been well manicured and cared for, worked considerately. The once wild rolling grasslands now resembles a humble homeland for all those who aren't afraid of a hard day's work for honest coin. Running east to west out of Sciath is a long brick road that serves as the main path of travel for those who choose to go by foot, regularly referred to as Torm's path. While the path is a beautiful road with very finely placed daisies on both sides of the road, it also hosts an annual right of passage for the youth of Arethemis. On the first day of Aur, the beginning of the celestial spring, youth who are of age and wishing to prove themselves worthy of joining the military are gathered at the gates of Sciath before the dawn breaks the horizon. At first light they begin the walk to Journey's End, the furthest established town of Arethemis' territory. With Waldennest being the only check-in point they must report to, they begin a journey that can take anywhere from half a month of the Celestial Calendar to the entirety of the month.
