Ashian Chapterhouses

Ashian clerics often operate roadside inns and hotels, offering entertainment, healing, and safety, ministering to travelers and the lost.

The fey goddess of healing, lost things, magic, travelers, and twilight, Ashia's priesthood has grown in recent decades.   In the past thirty years or so, Ashian clerics have began operating roadside inn complexes offering entertainment, healing, and safety. Ashian clerics often minister to travelers and the lost. Artisans, traders, merchants, and other regular travelers are commonly followers of the goddess and often conduct business at a Chapterhouse. Members usually have a 'home' Chapterhouse which they support financially. In return, members get discounts at other Chapterhouses which increase with distance, encouraging more long-distance trade. Guilds and merchant houses often act as patrons of their local Chapterhouse.   In larger towns and most cities, Ashian Chapterhouses maintain fleets of vehicles and stables of different mounts for rent. They also maintain a network of well-trained messengers and in-house caravan guards for hire. In the larger cities, Chapterhouses keep a professional Cryptomancer on retainer to offer their guests the option of discreet, encoded communications.   In recent years, Chanite clerics have set up shop at various Chapterhouses to provide both healing and simple banking services.
