Mockingcat
This curious mechanical creation resembles a black bird with the head of a cat. A worn silver key protrudes from its back. When this key is wound, the creature begins to spin and shake gently, and plays a gentle tune. When the creature stops spinning, it always faces the same direction.
Any creature that hears this song makes a DC12 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the creature is lulled into a calm, almost trance-like state in which it will avoid violence and conflict. In addition, the creature gains the effects of the "Protection from Good and Evil" spell for two hours, protecting you from undead.
