Lövasfold

Autonomous region in south Szewn.
Sprawling plains and fields, thin rivers, and the gargantuan inland lake the Kurgan Sea, colloquially known as Barrowsea. All these define the landscape of Lövasfold. On these steppes, migrating nomads found their home. To this day, their lifestyle is dominated by herding livestock from area to area, and offering their services as mercenaries and tradesmen.
  Notable landmarks:

  • The Barrowsea, a large inland body of water that holds the contents of many rivers before they find their way to the coast. The myths says the crater was created when one of the draconic lieutenant of the last war on the dragons fell. The decent drinking water is vital to many of the peoples of the region.

  •
  • Hollow Mountain, remnants of a Dwarven kingdom, lies on the eastern border. Originally a lone peak, it now stands as a large Dwarven-made ruin cradled in the shattered peaks, the mountain itself having been dug out. Travel is however discouraged; only Goblinoids and Draconic forces live there now.

  •
  • Grafagarth, Dwarven stronghold of the south. Serving as a gate both beneath the southern mountains and to the Underdark, this Dwarfhome has an uneasy relationship with all its neighbours. Lövasfold and its inhabitants trade with the dwarves there, but only in passing. The lands around it are more sulfurous, and ill-suited for grazing or harvest.
