Szewn
A huge inland region made up of several small counties barely dependent on each other. While nominally in control of the neighbouring Lövasfold and Aghmarti regions, Szewn has remained highly destabilized after a cataclysmic plague struck most of its bureaucracy many decades ago. The stronger cities thrive as centres of commerce, while the towns and villages struggle keeping raiders and monsters out. Most prominent of these cities is Murkow, a giant in both lumber and commerce.
Author's note: Inspired by East-European cultures, this region draws on both industrial cities in the final years of Tsarist Russia, as well as medieval commonwealths like Poland and Balkan cultures.
