Cassius' Hideout

Cassius' Hideout is located beneath the Field Ward and can be accessed through a secret entrance in the Grizzled Chair. The entrance in front of the chair leads to a ladder that goes down. At the bottom of the ladder is a room with a Death Dog on a chain that barks and growls at any intruders and tries to attack them. The small room with the Death Dog leads to a meandering hallway that leads further into the hideout. On the sides of the hallway are doors that lead to modest sleeping chambers for the Zhents. The hallway sometimes splits up and goes multiple directions, but there is one main path that eventually leads to Cassius. Besides the sleeping chambers, there are a few other rooms that can be find in the hideout: one small prison/holding area, a few storage closets which contain mostly weapons and armour, a few of which are very well crafted and/or magically enchanced, and a somewhat larger room with only a pedastel with a large floating gem in the middle, used to warn all the Zhents in the Field Ward in case of danger.   At the end of the main hallway, there is a large, sturdy metal door with two locks above each other in the shape of a snake with wings.   Behind the steel door, the hallway continues. This hallway, however, is completely straight and looks much nicer. On the side of the hallway are multiple recesses with stone statues of warriors in them. A bit farther into the hallway is an intricate wooden door on the left side. It leads to a large stone dining chamber. It has a large dining table, a standing clock, paintings on the walls and even drapes, although there are no windows. On the left and right side are again two intricate wooden doors. These lead to the sleeping chambers of the Cassius' guards, which are as fancy as the dining room. They features multiple closets, a rug, and a large canopy bed.   On the right side of the hallway is an inlet without a door that leads to a large chamber with a high roof. Noises can be heard coming from this chamber. The chamber is much less fancy than the other chambers in this part of the hideout. It containts multiple squalid tables and closets, filled with materials, cogs, tools, ... It also contains a small bed. This chamber is where Valasar tinkers on his creations that he makes for Cassius.   At the end of the hallway is another metal door, this time without a lock. This door leads to another large stone chamber, with two rows of stone columns on either side and a stone throne at the end of the chamber. On the left are two wooden doors. One leads to Cassius' sleeping chamber, which is even fancier than those of his guards. The other leads to Cassius' study chamber. It contains a desk for reading and writing, a fireplace, several bookcases and a large metal, ciruclar safe door.   On the right side of the large, stone throneroom is a secret hallway, hidden by an illusory wall, that leads to the cliffs on the edge of Waterdeep. Right behind the illusory wall are three horses at the ready to flee.

Architecture

The beginning of the hideout is mostly made of wood and metal, but the farther in you go, the more stone elements come to the front.
