Melandor

The province of Melandor is the westernmost province of the empire, fully bordering the Osmeldar Ocean. It stretches from the Aramara Sands in the north to the Kraghorn mountains in the south. The capital of Melandor is Waterdeep. Melandor is an important trade center in Iondur, trading goods from the numerous islands in the Osmeldar Ocean and from the Kraghorn mountaints to the provinces deeper in the empire. As a result, Melandor is one of the wealthier provinces in the empire. Melandor plays an important administrative and financial role in the Western Iondur Confederation, as its fleet is very important in maintaining the safety of the trade routes.
